Embracing the Rhythms of the Earth

As an Indigenous person, I know the importance of learning and living off the land. Being in the Indigenous Education program with the First Nations University of Canada,we learned the importance of experiential learning and how to implement it in our teachings. We are taught to always respect the land and all the natural resources that Mother Earth provides to us. For my project for this class I want to focus on land based learning and different ways we can incorporate it into our teachings to the younger generations, as Indigenous people we have a special connection to the land and we honour and respect it. We only take what is needed in order to survive.
